Velotric has quickly become one of the most test-ridden brands in our showrooms. The company launched in 2021 with a focus on value-priced e-bikes that don't sacrifice the features riders actually want: torque-sensing pedal assist, hydraulic disc brakes, and removable batteries.

The lineup covers most of what first-time e-bike buyers ask for, a comfortable step-through commuter (the Discover series), a fat-tire model for riders who want to leave the pavement (the Nomad), and a fold-up version for small-apartment and car-trunk life (the Go). Every model we carry ships with a motor and battery from Tier-1 suppliers, and the drivetrains are largely Shimano.

What we like: honest spec sheets, consistent firmware updates, and a dealer-support model that actually responds when something needs attention. What to know: the bikes skew heavy, which is normal for this price tier, but worth feeling in person before you buy, especially if you'll be lifting onto a car rack.
